FWC seeks witnesses after woman's body washes ashore in Hollywood Beach in possible boat strike describes an ongoing Florida investigation into a suspected marine collision. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) is asking witnesses to come forward about three weeks after the body of 31-year-old Kellie Melinda Williams was found on June 3 at Hollywood Beach. The FWC said her injuries are consistent with a vessel strike, after two fishermen reported seeing the body in the surf near New Mexico Street and alerted authorities. Hollywood Police said she appeared to have been snorkeling or diving earlier that day near Dr. Von D Mizell-Eula Johnson State Park when a watercraft struck her head. Investigators believe she entered the ocean around 10:30 a.m. via Beach Access 1, and they want anyone in the area between 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m., including up to about a mile offshore, to contact the Wildlife Alert Hotline. American Airlines said it is grieving the loss of a colleague.
