Girl who was allegedly sexually harassed by trans athlete in SCOTUS case speaks out after ruling
The girl at the center of a Supreme Court case over women’s sports in West Virginia says the ruling brought her “peace,” while she maintains allegations of sexual harassment by a transgender athlete. Adaleia Cross, a Bridgeport High School student in West Virginia, described the decision as personal after years of speaking out about comments she says were made in the girls’ locker room when both were students at Bridgeport Middle School during the 2022-23 school year. Cross alleged that the athlete made remarks that she interpreted as sexual harassment. The athlete is not named because the individual is a minor. Cross also said she messaged the athlete after the ruling, and referenced her faith. Her family previously said the alleged conduct occurred in that locker room; the ACLU denied the allegations, citing a school district investigation as unsubstantiated.
