Grêmio fans charter 40 coaches and will pack the away end

Grêmio fans will travel en masse to Curitiba for the team’s match against Coritiba on Monday (26). The club has organized 40 buses full of supporters heading to the away end, after 12,000 fans signed up for the bus package. Grêmio had to pick which supporters would go. The announcement also highlights the club’s strong following despite its position in the Brasileirão: Grêmio sits 18th, but ranks fourth in attendance. The team averages 30,657 fans per game, behind Flamengo (59,928), Corinthians (37,860), and Bahia (34,664). With 31 points, Grêmio is four behind Inter, which has 35 and has already played this round.
