Herd of cows fall off CLIFF as hero fisherman tows them to safety | Need To Know

Eight cows were towed to safety after tumbling from cliffs at Ellen’s Well near Angle, Anglesey, and becoming stranded on rocks. The rescue began at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 22, after fisherman Rhys Wonnacott spotted the animals the previous evening and alerted the coastguard, though conditions were too dark for an attempt that night. Crews regrouped the next morning with the RNLI, Milford Haven Harbour Patrol, and Wonnacott’s fishing vessel. The cows were coaxed toward the water as the tide rose, secured with lines, and guided one by one into the water before being taken to Angle Point and landed on the beach. By 2:45 p.m., all were recovered safe. Farmer Huw Richards said the rocky terrain made the operation challenging.
