How a Microdramas Director Landed Her First Feature Film Gig

Kristen Brancaccio, a director with extensive experience in microdramas, was tapped by Graviteur Studios to lead its first feature film, Crush Party. The Hollywood Reporter reports Brancaccio has directed 21 verticals, including Screen Time from Issa Rae’s Hoorae Media, which generated nearly 75 million views in its first week on TikTok and PineDrama. She also directed projects such as Hollywood Starlet for aTwist, and Southern Belle Insults starring Keke Palmer for Audible. Principal photography for Crush Party is scheduled to begin in 2027, marking her first feature. Graviteur launched earlier this year as a joint venture between Dolphin Entertainment and KYNETIC Media Ventures, seeking creator-driven storytelling.
