How Adria Arjona got over being 'terrified' for 'Onslaught' role

Adria Arjona discussed how she overcame fear while preparing for her Army sniper role in A24’s action film “Onslaught,” directed by Adam Wingard. Speaking at San Diego Comic-Con on July 23, Arjona said she felt “terrified” when reading the script and questioned whether she could meet the demands of the part. She said the preparation required “a lot of tactical training” and described building a strong bond with the young actress who plays her daughter, including playing a “trust game” in the mornings and teaching new Spanish words. A clip shown at the panel featured her shooting pumpkins alongside black-and-white flashes of the character’s past. Drew Starkey, Dan Stevens, and Rebecca Hall co-star, and Wingard described the film as a continuation of the universe from “You’re Next” and “The Guest.”
