How PD Ports is positioning itself as a powerhouse for Teesside's industrial future
PD Ports has announced Paul Foreman as its new CEO, building on a background that already ties him closely to Teesside’s logistics and port operations. Foreman, previously the chief operating officer, oversees containers, bulk cargo, warehousing and Tees operations, while PD Ports employs 1,400 people across 11 locations. The company also serves as the Statutory Harbour Authority for Teesport and the Port of Hartlepool, managing vessel traffic, river management, and channel depth, including a 12-mile stretch of the River Tees and a three-mile section into the North Sea. Foreman joins CEO Frans Calje and executive chairman Jerry Hopkinson, who has been with PD Ports for nearly 50 years. With experience spanning finance, IT, operations and commercial roles across multiple continents, he aims to deliver transformational projects that support the region’s economic future.
