India squad for New Zealand T20I series 2026: Full team lists for NZ vs IND T20Is

India named a 16-member squad for the New Zealand tour on Tuesday, October 6, with Shreyas Iyer named captain. The five-match T20I series begins October 22 at Hagley Oval in Christchurch. Tilak Varma is vice-captain. The key changes include the return of Bhuvneshwar Kumar after nearly four years—his last T20I came in New Zealand in November 2022—and Varun Chakravarthy, who is back after recovering from a side strain suffered during the Afghanistan T20I series in September. Ravi Bishnoi was left out. Sanju Samson and Ishan Kishan remain wicketkeeping options in the shortest format. For New Zealand, Mitchell Santner captains a 16-man group announced September 23, with Adam Milne returning.
