Influencer Luciana Dangond Farah drifted for 20 hours at sea after a rented jet ski ran out of fuel, leaving her stranded in the Caribbean. Along with friend Gerónimo Ibarra Cavalli, she was forced to abandon the watercraft overnight as strong currents carried them off course. The rescue came after a major air and sea search, with helicopters, drones and boats reportedly searching near the group. The incident occurred off Isla de Barú near Cartagena, Colombia, on June 29. Dangond Farah later said an alarm sounded soon after departure, and that the rental operator had assured them there was enough fuel. She and her companion were taken for medical examinations and are understood to be out of danger. Authorities praised a joint Navy, police, fishermen and resident response.
