Iowa DOT plans more overnight Interstate 80 closures in Dallas County

The Iowa Department of Transportation plans additional overnight Interstate 80 closures in Dallas County, beginning Tuesday, July 21, to shift traffic and reconfigure lanes. Crews will close sections of both eastbound and westbound I-80 for several nights, with the first change scheduled for 8 p.m. Tuesday until 5 a.m. Wednesday July 22. Eastbound I-80 will be shut between U.S. Highway 169 at De Soto and Dallas County Road R-16 near Van Meter. Westbound I-80 closures are slated from 9 p.m. Wednesday, July 22 to 5 a.m. Thursday July 23, and again from 9 p.m. Thursday, July 23 to 5 a.m. Friday, July 24 between Dallas County Road R-16 near Van Meter and Dallas County Road P-56. Detour routes route drivers via county roads around the work zone.
