Irish Coast Guard awards two contracts | OceanFM

Irish Coast Guard has awarded two contracts under its major fleet renewal programme for 38 new search and rescue vessels. The contracts were given to Zodiac Milpro and will cover 21 new rigid hull inflatable boats along with 17 inshore rescue boats. The procurement is designed to meet the demanding requirements of modern maritime search and rescue operations. Deliveries for the first new vessels are expected to begin next year, according to the announcement. The deal signals continued investment in Ireland’s coastal emergency response capability, replacing or augmenting existing assets to improve readiness and coverage for rescue missions.
