Jagaurs $33 Million CB Injury Update Most Concerning Among Wednesday's Injury Report

Jacksonville’s cornerback situation looks set for another major reshuffle against the Texans after Montaric Brown missed Wednesday’s practice with a lingering hamstring issue. Brown has the same problem that kept him out vs. Cincinnati and limited him to six snaps last week. With Jarrian Jones, Jaylon Jones and Jourdan Lewis also playing through injuries, losing their top boundary corner would leave Anthony Campanile’s defense thin as Houston prepares to feature Marvin Harrison Jr. If Brown isn’t cleared for Sunday, the Jaguars may rely on Travis Hunter for every defensive snap, after he logged 76 snaps vs. the Bengals and all 62 defensive reps vs. the Eagles, plus six offensive plays. Jacksonville also has additional absences: long snapper Ross Matiscik didn’t practice after a Week 5 shoulder injury, and starter left tackle Anton Harrison was placed on IR Tuesday.
