James Blunt Shares Article Denying He's The Singer In Hayden Panettiere Yacht Story
James Blunt has indirectly addressed rumors that he was the unnamed British singer in a yacht incident described by the late Hayden Panettiere. Panettiere’s memoir “This Is Me: A Reckoning,” published earlier this year, includes an account from when she was 18: she wrote that a “famous thirtysomething British singer-songwriter” was waiting for her in a cabin, shirtless and propped on pillows, with sheets covering his lower body. She said a friend encouraged her to get into bed and that she left the yacht after realizing what was happening. After Panettiere’s death at 36, speculation surged online, including a photo of Blunt and Panettiere at Cannes in 2009. Blunt shared a link on X to a Substack piece arguing the dates don’t match and pointing to inconsistencies in timelines and meetings.
