Jet skier completes solo trip around GB in 64 days

Lee Robinson has returned to London after completing a solo circumnavigation of the mainland of Great Britain on a stand-up jet ski. The rider, from Edmonton in north London, arrived at Butler’s Wharf near Tower Bridge around 10:00 BST on 25 July, finishing a 64-day journey that he said makes him the first person to complete the feat solo on a stand-up jet ski. Robinson set off under permission from the Port of London Authority and traveled the full coastline alone, navigating around tides with days ranging from just a few hours to up to 14. Although he carried entertainment, he said he listened to none while riding. A land crew led by his wife, son, and a family friend met him at stops to refuel and handle logistics.
