Killed after charter plane crashes in western Alaska

A charter plane crash near a remote radar station in western Alaska killed eight people, according to CNN citing federal aviation and military officials. The Cessna 441 was flying from Anchorage toward Cape Newenham, about 450 miles southwest of Anchorage, when it crashed close to its destination. Clint Johnson, head of the National Transportation Safety Board’s Alaska region, said the flight carried two pilots and six passengers, based on reporting by the Associated Press.
