The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries said the three-day effort ran from Friday, July 3, through Sunday, July 5, and resulted in 13 alleged intoxicated vessel operators being arrested statewide. LDWF partnered with the U.S. Coast Guard and Louisiana State Police, and agents also responded to four non-fatal boating incidents during the same period. Several arrests affected the Acadiana region, including Maddox Moncla, 20, of Lafayette, arrested July 3 on False River in Pointe Coupee Parish, and Nicholas Parton, 46, of Carencro, arrested July 4 on Henderson Lake in St. Martin Parish. The release noted the list did not include arrests from July 5, the final day.
