Lead-in events for 33rd International Optimist Regatta under way

Nearly 100 junior sailors took to the water Monday for lead-in events to the 33rd International Optimist Regatta, hosted by the St. Thomas Yacht Club. The TOTE Maritime Clinic began and will run over the next three days, leading into the TOTE Team Race on Thursday and the opening racing on Friday through Sunday off the southeastern end of St. Thomas. These lead-in activities provide coaching, practice, and race readiness for youth sailors, helping to set the stage for a weekend of competitive sailing in the Caribbean sunshine and blue waters.
