Make sure your baby isn't sitting in one of these high chairs
Costway Convertible High Chairs are being recalled after the U.S. Consumer Safety Product Commission said the model violates high-chair safety standards. The recall is linked to the lack of a passive restraint system, meaning a child could fall through the opening between the seat and the feeding tray, creating an entrapment or fall risk that could be fatal. No injuries have been reported so far. The chairs were sold nationwide at Walmart and Target, including in Ohio, and also online through a website referenced in the notice. Because there is no tracking information, consumers are instructed to turn in the chair for a replacement by providing a receipt or a photo, after which Costway issues a prepaid return label and ships a free replacement.
