Mamdani's Wife Raised $2000 for Palestine Charity, but Where Did That Money Go?

A report says Rama Duwaji, esposa de Zohran Mamdani, collected about $2,000 for a Gaza charity after promising to donate profits from a T-shirt fundraiser, but investigators could not find proof that the money was sent to Dahnoun Mutual Aid. The New York Post reports that Duwaji designed $47 shirts sold on Everpress, a London-based fundraising platform, and posted that she would donate 100% of the profits. According to a source cited by the outlet, the funds were deposited into a “creator” account and Everpress allegedly requested Duwaji’s banking information to wire the cash she would then be required to transfer to the charity. The outlet also says it found no record of a donation in her name to the organization. The story references the Oct. 7, 2023 Hamas attacks and highlights disputed handling of the fundraiser proceeds.
