Marine sale fundraiser to benefit the Marquette Junior Yacht Club

A community marine sale fundraiser in Marquette will support the Marquette Junior Yacht Club's efforts to upgrade sailing equipment. The MJYC will host the event from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 20, at the Marquette Yacht Club, 201 E. Main St. in Marquette. The sale is open to the public for both sellers and shoppers, inviting boat owners and nautical enthusiasts to participate. The event welcomes nautical items of all kinds to support youth sailing programs. Drop-off runs from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.; sellers set their own prices. Commission is 20% for items under $499 and 10% for items $500 and above. All 100% donated items in working order will be considered for resale, and a wide range of nautical items are welcome, including boats, trailers, motors, navigational equipment, sailboats, sails, boat parts, anchors, safety gear, canoes, kayaks, paddles, fishing gear, home decor, artwork, and more. Proceeds will fund upgrades to sailing equipment for MJYC, a local nonprofit sailing school sponsored by the Marquette Yacht Club.
