Ireland deported 43 Georgian nationals on a charter flight to Georgia, the Irish Government confirmed. The group included 33 men, seven women and three children from a family unit aboard the plane. The removals were carried out under immigration orders issued by Minister for Justice, Home Affairs and Migration Jim O’Callaghan, who said deportations are essential to keep Ireland’s immigration system rules-based and to ensure people follow legal migration pathways. He called the operation the sixth charter deportation of the year, thanking An Garda Síochána, officials and staff involved in the “complex and sensitive” process. The aircraft departed Dublin Airport at 13:50 on September 20 and landed in Tbilisi at 18:40 the same day. The cost of the return charter was €225,575.
