Miller arrested for allegedly calling in fake bomb threat
Miller arrested for allegedly calling in fake bomb threat reports the arrest of former Silicon Valley star T.J. Miller at New York’s LaGuardia Airport. The incident occurred Monday night, and he appeared in court in New Haven on Tuesday before being released on a $100,000 bond. Prosecutors allege Miller intentionally conveyed false information about an explosive device on a train traveling to Connecticut, a charge filed as a federal criminal complaint by the U.S. Attorney for the District of Connecticut. The maximum potential sentence is five years. The complaint alleges that on March 18, Miller called 911 from New Jersey, claiming a woman on Amtrak Train 2256 had “a bomb in her bag,” leading to an inspection in Westport, Connecticut, with no explosives found. A later call provided revised details and authorities inspected Amtrak Train 2258 as well, also finding no explosives, while other officers investigated. The investigation remains ongoing.
