Moment arsonist sets former friend's canal boat alight after row two years earlier

A man set his former friend’s canal boat on fire after a dispute dating back two years, a court heard. CCTV footage showed Tim Fish arriving at Duke’s Cut Lot on the Oxford Canal last October. Shortly afterward, an explosion was seen tearing through the vessel that Fish had walked toward just seconds earlier. Prosecutors said Fish poured gasoline from a jerry can onto a boat owned by Max Lamb, who was inside at the time. Lamb extinguished the flames and saved the boat using a fire extinguisher. Fish, 39, of no fixed address, was jailed after pleading guilty to arson while being reckless about whether life was endangered.
