Natural goalscorer' gives 'glimpse' of what he's all about
xCruzo Brief
Dan Efobi offered Cambridge United fans a first look at his potential in the club’s 6-0 win over Brighton & Hove Albion in the Jersey Mike’s Trophy. The 17-year-old, who recently signed his first professional contract, made his full debut at Cledara Abbey Stadium. He scored early in the second half to make it 3-0, sweeping home Zak Bradshaw’s low cross from close range. Cambridge head coach Neil Harris said the moment reflected both where Efobi needs work and why he believes the teenager is a natural goalscorer, praising his “lottery” style celebration after scoring. Efobi is on loan at Enfield Town, scoring four goals in three substitute appearances, and is set to play Saturday, 7 November, against AFC Whyteleafe.
