Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman Reunite for Disney+ Sailing Docuseries
Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman reunite onscreen for a Disney+ sailing docuseries about the Bonds Flying Roos, the Australian SailGP team they co own. Maximum Effort is producing the project, which follows a global racing season defined by speed, pressure and high stakes as identical 50-foot catamarans race on near shore courses at speeds up to 100 km/h. The show will feature Reynolds and Jackman in their real life roles while Tom Slingsby, an Olympic gold medallist, America's Cup winner and three-time SailGP champion, provides leadership alongside the team. The series remains untitled, but SailGP is a partner and the endeavor follows their Welcome to Wrexham collaboration. Executives described the program as offering a remarkable inside view of the sport and what it takes to compete at the highest level. Reynolds and Jackman expressed enthusiasm, joking about pirates, and promising action, humor and heart. The project expands the actors' sports documentary slate and marks a continued collaboration that broadens their presence beyond film into competition coverage.
