Pirate party boat with British tourists sinks forcing people to jump into sea
A pirate-themed party boat carrying 148 people sank off the Marmaris coast in Turkey, forcing passengers to jump into the sea as rescue boats were dispatched. The Big Boss Diamond, a four-deck vessel offering all-inclusive excursions with unlimited alcohol for £35 per person, had departed Marmaris for Paradise Island when it began taking on water and tilting, and the vessel sank quickly, going under about an hour later. British tourists and about 20 children were evacuated, with footage showing only the masts protruding from the water. The operator posted on social media that everyone was safe and pledged to resume trips with Big Boss Yagna after repairs. The boat, marketed as a family party cruise visiting five islands, featured a DJ and pirate theme; Metro solicited comment from the organizer for further details.
