UAE-Based Yacht Builder Gulf Craft Continues To Grow
Gulf Craft Group’s growth embodies the UAE’s expanding yacht sector, with four brands—Majesty, Nomad, Oryx and Silvercat—built across facilities in the UAE and the Maldives. The company has been crafting boats for more than four decades, a track record CEO Erwin Bamps credits as crucial to weathering industry cycles. Bamps, returning to the CEO post-2019, says the current challenge is different from earlier rebuilds, focusing on product evolution, automation, and a broadened international footprint. He notes progress on the Majesty line, including advances in the 100-foot class, underscoring Gulf Craft’s ambition to raise visibility through a strengthened distribution network and global partnerships.
Two flagship models illustrate the strategy. The Majesty 100 Terrace, designed with Phathom Studio of the Netherlands, features a private owner’s bow terrace, fold-down cockpit balconies and full walk-around decks to maximize indoor-outdoor living in the 100-foot class, with five staterooms for family use or charter. The Majesty 120—a 120-foot tri-deck—offers six cabins and generous interior volume that’s rare in this size range. Gulf Craft emphasizes lighter, roomier layouts that suit socializing on the water, targeting Asia and the Middle East while expanding distribution and partnerships worldwide.
