Nike store closures: See a list of almost two dozen locations that have shuttered across 12 states

Nike is shutting down its Nike Well Collective small-format neighborhood stores as part of a broader retail restructuring. A Fast Company review found at least 24 closures across a dozen states this year. The move aligns with other changes Nike has already announced, including eliminating 1,400 jobs in April 2026, mainly technology roles, and consolidating its technology footprint at its headquarters in Oregon and the Nike India Technology Center. The company also reportedly closed its Nike Studios group-fitness locations in March 2026 after a three-year collaboration experiment with FitLab. Earlier this summer, CEO Elliott Hill said Nike is changing its direct-to-consumer strategy by elevating the user experience, including “rezone and elevate” store updates.
