Nolan Wells Investigation: Boat Owners Allow Police Search, Woman Denies Being With Him

The Nolan Wells investigation has expanded as boat owners reportedly agreed to a police search while Wells’ death remains under scrutiny. Mississippi authorities launched the probe after Nolan’s mother reported him missing on July 4. His body was found on July 6 near the last reported location after a trip to Horn Island with friends. On July 8, investigators met with Jerry Adkerson and Jennifer Pyron, relatives of one of Nolan’s friends; a report says Jerry signed permission for officers to search their boat and obtain GPS data. The authorization also allowed investigators to remove items or documents they deemed relevant. Investigators also met with Bart Edmiston Jr. and reviewed data from his boat. A woman named Laney reportedly denied being on Horn Island, saying she was on a different island with another group on July 4.
