He is survived by sisters Winnie Foss Smith of Newburyport, Massachusetts, and Kimberley Foss Harvey of Carver, Massachusetts; his children, Zuri (Michael) Gregory of Aiken and Remy (Miranda) Waser-Foss of Washington, D.C.; five nieces and nephews; and beloved grandchildren, Kaden and Rowan. Those who knew him described a talented chef with a lifelong passion for cooking and the way it brought people together. Dana's friends and family remembered his sharp mind, quick wit, and generous spirit. A Celebration of Life is planned for June 28 at 12 p.m. on Cobb Island, Maryland. He found peace by the water, whether casting a fishing line or simply enjoying the beauty and stillness it offered. He loved deeply, worked hard, and strove to become the best version of himself.
