Patriots offensive starter returns to practice ahead of Week 4 Bills matchup
The Patriots got some positive news at Friday practice ahead of their Week 4 matchup with the Bills: starting right tackle Morgan Moses and fullback Reggie Gilliams returned from injuries. Moses had been out Wednesday and Thursday with a foot issue. Gilliams, limited Wednesday due to a knee problem, did not participate Thursday. Cornerback Christian Gonzalez (shoulder) and defensive tackle Christian Barmore (shoulder) remained absent. Head coach Mike Vrabel is expected to update the injury statuses to the media after practice. If Moses is cleared to play Sunday, it would reduce the need to start rookie Caleb Lomu at right tackle. Patriots already have a new starter at right guard, replacing Mike Onwenu and Greg Van Roten. Options include Walter Rouse, Ben Brown, and newly signed veteran Matt Pryor. Gilliams will face his former team, while other players—Dre’Mont Jones, Craig Woodson, and rookie Eli Raridon—remain limited after missing last week’s game versus the Jaguars. The team travels to Buffalo on Saturday.
