Patriots teammates believe Will Campbell is ready for Year 2 jump

In Foxborough, Patriots veteran Dre’Mont Jones said his experience against left tackle Will Campbell has helped him gauge Campbell’s growth entering Year 2. Last season, Jones faced Campbell while both were with the Titans and Patriots matchups, with Jones tasked with breaking through the rookie tackle to pressure rookie quarterback Drake Maye. Now in the same locker room, Jones described Campbell as “a lot more stout,” noting improvements in patience and hand use while keeping his base square. Jones said he’s beaten Campbell clean only a few times during camp. Campbell, 22, is also working to build consistency after recovering from a torn MCL last winter.
