A pedestrian was hit by a lorry on the A20 near Dover port overnight, triggering an investigation by police and causing reported congestion in the area. The incident occurred on the A20 in Dover near the junction with Union Street at about 03:40 BST on Thursday. Kent Police advised motorists to consider using the A2 and Jubilee Way to avoid the affected stretch of road through town. Traffic monitoring by Inrix said the A20 southbound was partially blocked, with queuing traffic reported from Union Street to the A256 York Street and on Jubilee Way.
