Pennsylvania fall foliage weekly reports return

Pennsylvania’s Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) is bringing back its weekly fall foliage reports starting Oct. 1, aimed at helping residents and visitors track changing autumn colors. The updates, released every Thursday, will offer regional information, photos, and expert tips for planning hikes, camping trips, and scenic drives across the Commonwealth. DCNR Secretary Cindy Adams Dunn said the report is a tool for finding seasonal activities. The state also expects the season to remain a major tourism engine, generating $83.9 billion in economic impact and drawing 201.6 million visitors in 2024. Popular viewing includes the Skywalk at Kinzua Bridge State Park, a 600-foot walkway.
