Plane crash at Miami airport affects Labor Day travel plans in Texas

A deadly crash at Miami International Airport has disrupted some Labor Day travel plans for passengers heading in and out of Texas. Travelers departing from Austin may need to recheck their itineraries after an 8 a.m. Austin-to-Miami flight was canceled Monday morning. Others flying out of Miami faced delays, according to the report. KSAT journalists Madalyn Lambert and Michelle Tamayo said they were stuck overnight in Miami after traveling during the holiday period. AAA estimates 17 million airport screenings will occur during the Labor Day weekend rush. AAA also expects the heaviest road traffic on Monday from 2 to 5 p.m., and urged travelers to monitor airline updates and arrive early for security and holiday congestion.
