POLARIS SWEEPS BAJA 500 UTV OVERALL PODIUM AS BRANDEN SIMS CLAIMS VICTORY
Polaris powered a dominant Baja 500 performance as Branden Sims claimed the UTV Overall title in the RZR Pro R Factory, anchoring an all-Polaris podium. The 57th SCORE Baja 500 stretched 468 miles across the Mexican desert of Baja California, with Sims starting sixth and methodically working through the field. He seized a late-race opening and maintained the lead to the finish, delivering a disciplined, high-speed run. Wayne Matlock and Ethan Groom, both in RZR Pro R Factory machines, completed the podium in second and third, highlighting Polaris' depth in the SCORE field.
Polaris extended its dominance beyond the podium, sweeping the top nine overall UTV positions with RZR Pro R Factory entries. Mitch Guthrie Jr. placed fourth, followed by Dallas Gonzalez in fifth; Joe Terrana and co-driver Rodrigo Ampudia were sixth. Mike Cafro, Sebastian Marquez, and Kristen Matlock completed the seventh through ninth spots, underscoring the program's depth. Sims, a former Baja 500 and Baja 1000 champion, earned his first SCORE win since 2022 and did so in just his second race behind the wheel of the new RZR Pro R Factory, a testament to the vehicle's performance.
