Portland's new speed cameras have made 69K citations since November

Portland announced that 69,000 speeding citations have been issued since November 2025 after expanding its speed-camera network. About 30 cameras were installed along the High Crash Network, with more planned, as part of the Vision Zero initiative to eliminate traffic deaths and injuries. Officials noted speeding remains the leading cause of crashes, and Transportation Director Millicent Williams described the cameras as a highly effective enforcement tool to keep speeds in check and protect road users.
