Qatar Olympic Academy concludes sports management course with record 100+ participants
The Qatar Olympic Academy has concluded its four-day “Major Sports Events Management” course, recording a participation milestone with more than 100 learners—male and female—from Qatar and abroad. The program, part of the academy’s current-year training agenda, focuses on organising and managing major sports championships, events, and sporting occasions. It was delivered by Petros Tesalas, a Sports Events Management expert at the Qatar Olympic Committee, with experience that includes work tied to the Athens 2004 Olympic Games and the Doha 2006 Asian Games. Participants came from varied backgrounds, including presidents of sports federations, sports administrators, athletes, and researchers. The academy said demand for specialised education in sports event management continues to grow alongside the global sports industry.
