Recall alert: 110K swing seats recalled; seats can break

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a recall of 110,550 swing seats because they can break and cause someone to fall. The Pacearth swing seat, carabiners, quick links and webbing straps are included in the recall and are described as a fall hazard with a serious injury risk. About 110,550 U-type swing seats are affected. They were sold in colors including green, blue, pink, red and turquoise, with a chain coated in yellow plastic. Sold on Amazon from May 2017 to June 2026 as single seats or two-packs for $27 to $57, they were meant to attach to outdoor swingsets or tree branches. The CPSC cites at least 30 reports of falls and nine injuries.
