Red Cat Holdings’ stock rose 9.03% to $8.21 by 2:25 p.m. EDT after Blue Ops expanded its V7 autonomous drone boat with Volvo Penta power. The update integrates Volvo Penta’s 320-horsepower D4-320 diesel engine with the V7’s existing autonomy navigation and remote operations systems, along with connectivity for mission planning, payload management and broader control architecture. The D4-320 is a 3.7-liter, four-cylinder common-rail diesel paired with Volvo Penta’s DPI DuoProp drive. Blue Ops said the change preserves the vessel’s core autonomy software while widening propulsion options and leveraging Volvo Penta’s global parts and service network.
