Reports: Hornets send Miles Bridges to Suns for Grayson Allen
Charlotte’s roster reshaping accelerated as reports say the Hornets sent Miles Bridges to the Phoenix Suns in exchange for Grayson Allen, Royce O’Neale and draft compensation. According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, the deal would move Bridges plus two future draft picks from Charlotte to Phoenix for Allen, O’Neale and a future first-round selection. The Hornets reportedly agreed to send LaMelo Ball to the Minnesota Timberwolves just three days earlier, according to the report context. Bridges, the No. 12 pick in the 2018 NBA Draft, spent his entire seven-year career with Charlotte, averaging 17.1 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.2 assists on 46.0% shooting across 77 games this season. Allen averaged 16.5 points, 3.8 assists and 1.4 steals while shooting 40.3% from the field for the Suns last season. O’Neale added 9.8 points on 40.8% from three, with 212 total threes, ranking 17th in the NBA.
