Searches for missing 31-year old woman enter 20th day
Search efforts for 31-year-old Lyndsey Rankin, missing from Castlederg in County Fermanagh, have entered their 20th day after she was last seen at Castle Archdale Marina. Irish authorities report that she rented a boat from Castle Archdale Boat Hire at around 9:30am on Friday, June 5, and that the vessel was later found that afternoon near Crevinishaughy Island with a life jacket and phone onboard. The PSNI, supported by the Community Rescue Service (CRS) and other agencies, continues daily searches of Lough Erne, launching operations from the Round O in Enniskillen and from the marina.
CRS is assisting with sonar technology while both underwater and surface searches continue. Police say Rankin was last seen around 9:30am wearing black leggings and a dark-coloured top near Castle Archdale Marina, close to Lisnarick, and emphasize the community’s concern while coordinating inquiries through a Police Search Adviser (POLSA). Multiple partners—including Coastguard, CRS, Foyle Search and Rescue, and the RNLI—have been involved in shoreline checks, methodical sweeps, and the use of specialist boats and equipment. Authorities ask anyone near Lower Lough Erne and Castle Archdale between June 5 and the preceding days to review dash-cam, CCTV, or phone footage and come forward with information.
