Sebastian Rode starts trainee programme at Eintracht Frankfurt

Sebastian Rode is returning to Eintracht Frankfurt in a non-playing role. The 35-year-old former club captain will complete a one-year trainee programme at Eintracht Frankfurt Fußball AG from September 2026 through August 2027, with plans to develop across both sporting and administrative departments. Rode previously wore the Eintracht jersey for a combined nine and a half years, with successful spells at FC Bayern München and Borussia Dortmund. In his second stint, he appeared in three UEFA Europa League campaigns, including a 2019 run to the semi-finals and winning the competition in 2022 to qualify for the UEFA Champions League, plus a DFB Cup final appearance in 2023. Rode made 278 appearances for Frankfurt.
