Smart Glasses Recalled After Overheating Reports and 'Risk of Serious Injury or Death'

INMO AIR3 Smart Glasses have been recalled in the United States after reports to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission of overheating. The CPSC says it received 10 reports and warns the glasses can cause “burning sensation” on the face and the left side of the ear, creating a risk of serious injury or death. The regulator instructs consumers to stop using the devices immediately and contact INMO for a free repair, including an update to system version V3.16 online. Sold from December 2025 to August 2026 through online retailers including Amazon, Inmoxr, and Kickstarter, the glasses cost $900 to $1,300. The CPSC estimates about 1,643 units were sold in the U.S. and 120 in Canada.
