Star Seahawks defensive tackle Leonard Williams gets 3-year, $90 million extension

Seattle is officially locking down a key defensive-line piece by signing defensive tackle Leonard Williams to a three-year, $90 million extension on Aug. 27, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. ESPN’s Adam Schefter confirmed the deal includes $56 million guaranteed. Williams, 32, joined the Seahawks in 2023 after spending five seasons with the New York Jets and the New York Giants. New Seattle cornerback Devon Witherspoon also received an extension earlier this month, agreeing to a 4-year, $132 million contract. The Giants traded Williams to Seattle for two draft picks. Across his career, Williams has 61.5 sacks and more than 630 total tackles.
