The Bahamas Strengthens Global Marine Tourism Partnerships at Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show
The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism (BMOT) used the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS) to deepen ties with the global boating and yachting industry. Led by Tourism Minister Glenys Hanna Martin, along with Parliamentary Secretary Randy Rolle, BMOT Director General Jackson Weech and senior team executives, the delegation met marine tourism organizations and industry leaders to strengthen collaboration and support growth in the archipelago’s recreational boating, luxury yachting, aviation and charter sectors. The Bahamas also served as destination sponsor for the International Superyacht Society’s 2026 Design & Leadership Awards Gala on October 28 at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts. Meetings during FLIBS included Informa Markets, the Association of Bahamas Marinas, the U.S. Superyacht Association and the U.S. Charter Association.
