This summer’s “Design Hotels that Defined Summer 2026” highlights new or refreshed properties across Greece, France, Italy, and beyond, framing them as snapshots of what travelers consider beautiful, luxurious, and worth photographing. The list includes Fouquet’s Mykonos on Paraga Beach, opened June 27 as Barrière’s first hotel in Greece, featuring 60 suites and three villas, plus the ROKA restaurant and a Rock Spa with an indoor pool and hyperbaric oxygenation. Zannier reimagined Île de Bendor after a five-year transformation. Outside Arles, Luca Pronzato places guests in a setting among Jean Prouvé, Gaetano Pesce and 67 Fondazione Sozzani photographs, while La Tiara di Cervo debuted in Sardinia with 26 grand suites.
