“The last picture” captures the possibility that a passing boater’s photograph may show five adults who drowned in Ohio’s Scioto River. Marcus L. Martin, a frequent boater and Baptist pastor, said he saw five adults wading hip- and waist-deep and believed the steep river slopes at the spot are dangerous. About two hours after his family floated away and returned, he took a photo after noticing the group still in the water. Delaware County Sheriff Jeffrey Balzer said authorities believe one adult began struggling and the others went to help, and all five were swept under. Two women’s bodies were recovered Sunday and the remaining three a day later.
