The Silver Cup at PALANAD 4 and the Greek distinctions at 600 nautical miles underscored a major win in the AEGEAN 600 offshore sailing event. The new boat PALANAD 4, competing in its first major race after just a year at sea, was owned by Olivier Magre and won a top honor at the awards ceremony held yesterday at the Technological Park in Lavrio. In the ORC category, FINAL FINAL (USA) took first place ahead of Italy’s PROSECCO DOC SHOKWAVE, which also earned the event’s LINE Honour, with MARY S (Czech Republic) third. Greek success included AIOLOS, skippered by Giorgos Prokopiou, winning IRC MAXI for a repeat from 2024, while XIPHOS placed 2nd ORC One. The race tested 71 boats from July 5, starting at the Temple of Poseidon in Sounio.
