Tigers promoting top prospect Max Clark for MLB debut, per report - CBS Sports

The Detroit Tigers are expected to promote top prospect Max Clark to make his MLB debut, according to Baseball America via CBS Sports. Clark, 21, was a former No. 3 overall draft pick from a Tennessee high school and has spent the 2026 season so far at Triple-A Toledo. In 90 games, he hit .276/.368/.434 with 11 home runs, 20 doubles and 21 stolen bases in 23 attempts in center field. CBS Sports ranked him No. 11 prospect across all baseball entering 2026. The Tigers would need roster space to call him up, with the team also evaluating whether to trade ace Tarik Skubal before the Aug. 3 deadline.
